Cherry Compote with Fresh Mint

- 750 grams Cherries
- ⅛ l Cabbage
- ¼ l white wine
- 30 grams cornstarch
- 6 Tbsps sugar
- 1 tsp Lemon peel
- 4 Tbsps lemon juice
- ½ stalk cinnamon
- 2 bars Chocolate (with mint filling)
- mint (for garnish)
Preparation

Rinse and pit the cherries. Heat the wine in a saucepan with 2/3 of the juice. Mix the rest of the juice with sugar and cornstarch until smooth. Stir the cornstarch mixture into the saucepan, add the cherries and bring to a boil while stirring. Chop the mint chocolate bars and melt in the compote.

To serve, pour the compote into glasses and garnished with fresh mint. Can be enjoyed hot or chilled.
