- 500 grams dried, white Beans
- 2 onions
- 3 cloves
- 2 garlic cloves
- 3 carrots
- 4 Tomatoes
- 2 Tbsps butter
- 400 grams smoked Pancetta
- 4 Boiled sausages (depending on size)
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- salt
- freshly ground peppers
- 4 Savoy cabbage
Preparation steps

The day before cooking, soak beans in plenty of water. Peel and slice garlic. Peel onions. Stud 1 onion with garlic slices and cloves. Place onion and beans to pot. Add a lot of cold water. Simmer for about 1 1/2 hours. Julienne remaining onion and add to pot.

Remove and discard studded onion. Add bacon and cook over low heat for 20 minutes. Add tomatoes just before the end of cooking. Season well with salt, thyme and pepper.
Rinse cabbage leaves and blanch in salted water for 3 minutes. Remove and drain. Divide cabbage into 4 soup bowls. Pour soup over cabbage and serve.
