1 Cutting board, 1 Small knife, 1 Large knife, 1 deep bowl, 1 Immersion blender, 1 Small pot, 1 Tablespoon, 1 Teaspoon, 1 Measuring cups, 1 Milk frother (or small whisk)

Preparation steps

Halve dates and remove pits. With a large knife, coarsely chop walnuts.

In a tall vessel, combine cranberry juice, 1 teaspoon cocoa powder and 1/3 cup milk, along with the dates and walnuts. Puree with an immersion blender until smooth.

Halve vanilla bean lengthwise and scrape out the seeds. In a small pot, combine vanilla seeds with the remaining milk and heat until warm (do not boil!).

Beat milk with a frother (or small whisk).

Pour date-milk into a glass and top with warm frothed milk. Sprinkle with remaining cocoa powder and serve immediately.
