Preparation steps

1.

Peel the onions and finely dice. Rinse the chilli, halve, clean and, together with the onion,  fry until light golden brown in a hot pan with 1 tablespoon oil. Deglaze the pan with a little water, add the tomatoes and let simmer for about 15 minutes until thick. Stir occasionally. Mix in the honey, vinegar, salt and pepper, remove from the heat and allow to cool.

2.

Season the meat with salt and pepper and shape into 4 burgers. Brush each with oil and cook on the hot grill for 3-4 minutes on each side. Cut the bread horizontally and roast slightly on the sliced surfaces.

3.

Rinse the tomatoes, remove the stalks and cut into slices. Rinse, clean and shake dry the lettuce. Cut the cheese into slices.

4.

Place the tomato slices with lettuce on the bottom buns. Top with the burger, onion relish and the cheese. Finish with the top buns and serve.
