Preparation steps

1.

Bring the sugar and 300 ml (approximately 10 ounces) of water to a boil. Boil for 3-4 minutes, remove from the heat, and let cool. 

2.

Peel the beets and the apples, coarsely chop, then pass through a juicer. Mix the juice with the lemon juice and the sugar syrup. Stir to combine, then chill in the refrigerator for 1 hour. Garnish the juice with the ice cubes and lemon zest, and serve.
