1 Tbsp sugar
2 tsps Rum
1 Tbsp raisins
1 Tbsp ground almonds
2 egg whites
350 grams Strawberries
4 Tbsps Whipped cream
2 Tbsps chopped Pistachio
powdered sugar (for dusting)

Preparation steps

1.

Rinse apples, pat dry, cut off tops and core.  and cut out the Apfelausstecher the cores. Combine sugar with rum, raisins and almonds; stuff apples with mixture.

Place apples onto a greased pan and bake in preheated oven at 200°C (approximately 400°F) for 30 minutes. Beat egg whites with a pinch of salt ntil very stiff. Place into a piping bag with a star tip and pipe on top of apples. Bake for additional 10 minutes. 

3.

Prepare sauce. Rinse, dry and hull strawberries. Puree and strain through a sieve. Combine with cream. Place apples on plates, encircle with sauce, sprinkle with chopped pistachios and dust with powdered sugar. Serve.
