- 2 onions
- 2 Apple
- 750 grams lamb (from the leg)
- 2 Tbsps vegetable oil (or ghee)
- salt
- peppers
- 1 pc cinnamon (2 cm long)
- 500 milliliters Cider
- 100 milliliters Whipped cream
- 2 tsps rich Broth
- 250 grams chickpeas (canned)
- cilantro (to taste, for garnish)

Preparation steps

Peel the onions and chop finely. Peel, core and dice the apple into small cubes. Rinse lamb, pat dry and cut into bite-sized pieces.

Heat the oil in a wide saucepan. Brown the lamb over high heat amd season with salt and pepper. Add onion and the apple cubes and fry 1 minute. Add cinnamon stick and the cider. Cover and cook over medium to medium-high heat for 40 minutes. Stir in cream and the broth. Cover and simmer until the meat is soft, another 20 minutes.

Drain chickpeas in a colander, rinse in cold water and allow to drain briefly. Mix into the stew and cook for 5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper and pour into soup plates. Garnish to taste with cilantro.
