200 grams Walnut
2 small Apple (tart)
1 Tbsp lemon juice
200 grams softened butter
3 eggs
150 grams honey
1 Vanilla bean (slit)
200 grams Pastry flour
1 packet Baking powder

Preparation
1.

Set aside about 10 walnut halves for decoration. Chop remaining walnuts coarsely.

Peel apples, quarter, core and grate coarsely. Immediately combine with lemon juice. Beat butter until creamy and gradually add eggs, honey and vanilla. Combine flour with baking powder and chopped walnuts, mix into butter mixture. Add apples.

Pour mixture into a buttered and sprinkled with flour loaf pan. Bake in preheated oven at 160°C (approximately 325°F) for about 60 minutes (inserted toothpick should come our clean). If cake browns too quickly, cover with aluminum foil.

Cool slightly in a pan, invert onto a wire rack and let cool completely.

Combine powdered sugar with lemon juice and a little water, if necessary, to make thick glaze. Pour glaze over cake. Chop remaining walnuts coarsely and arrange on top of cake. Let cake dry and serve.
