- 1 kilogram sour Apple
- 2 lemons (squeezed)
- 1 kilogram jam sugar
- 1 generous pinch Gingerbread spice
- 1 Cinnamon stick
Preparation steps
1.
Peel, quarter and core apples. Dice flesh and mix with lemon and sugar. Let sit overnight.

Add cinnamon stick to apples and boil, stirring occasionally for about 4 minutes. Simmer, stir in gingerbread spice and remove cinnamon stick.
Pour into canning jars and fill completely. Screw on lids, flip upside down and cool. Serve with fresh bread, as desired.
