Zimttaler (Cinnamon Cookies)
Mix the flour with the powdered sugar, egg, cinnamon and butter to make a dough. Knead in the cocoa and almonds, wrap the dough in foil and refrigerate for 1 hour. Preheat the oven to 180°C (approximately 350°F).
Roll out the dough between 2 sheets of parchment paper about 4-5 mm (approximately 1/8 inch) thick. Cut out circles (3 cm diameter) (approximately 1 inch), place on a greased baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes. Remove and cool on a wire rack. Serve dusted with powdered sugar.
