Breadmaker Method: Use 500g (1lb 2oz) wholemeal bread 1 Tsp Easy Bake Yeast 1 Put all the ingredients into the bread maker bucket following the order specified in the manual, mixing in 350ml/ 12 fl oz/ 11/2 cups warm soya milk. 2 Fit the bucket into the bread maker set to the basic programme with a light crust. Press start.

Preparation steps

1.
Put the flour into a large bowl, add 1 tsp salt and sugar. Add the butter and rub into the flour to combine. Sprinkle over the Easy Bake Yeast.

Mix together with your hands until the mixture combines to make a rough dough ball.

Tip the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and stretch and knead the dough for 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.

Shape into a round and sprinkle over the sesame seeds.
5.
Put onto a greased baking tray. Cover loosely with clear wrap and leave in a warm place until doubled in size. (This will take about 30-40 minutes).
6.
Heat the oven to 220°C (200° fan) 425F gas 7. When the bread is well risen, remove the clear wrap from the bread and reduce the oven temperature to 200°C (180° fan oven) 400F gas 6.

Bake the bread for 35 minutes until golden. To test see if the loaf is ready, upturn and tap the base - it should sound hollow.
