11 ozs macaroni
7 ozs cooked ham (chopped)
1 onion (finely chopped)
2 cloves garlic cloves (finely chopped)
16 ozs Spinach (chopped)
3 cups grated Cheese
¼ cup butter
½ cup flour
cup cream (48% fat)
2 cups milk
3 Tbsps soft Cheese
salt

Preparation steps

1.
Heat the oven to 200°C (180° fan) 400°F gas 6. Grease a baking dish.
2.
Cook the macaroni according to the pack instructions. Drain well and put into the baking dish. Sprinkle over the ham.
3.
Heat the oil in a frying pan and cook the onion and garlic until soft. Add the spinach and cook until just wilted. Tip into the baking dish.
4.
Sprinkle over1/2 the grated cheese.

Melt the butter in a pan and stir in the flour. Cook for 1 minute until a smooth paste. Remove from the heat and whisk in the cream, milk and soft cheese.
6.
Bring to a boil, whisking, and stir in the remaining grated cheese. Season with salt and pepper.
7.
Pour into the baking dish and stir well. Bake for 40-60 minutes until lightly browned and bubbling. Stand for 10 minutes before serving.
