250 milliliters dry white wine (such as. Riesling)
50 grams sugar
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 lemon (juice)
4 ripe Pear (such as. Williams Christ)
For the sauce
100 grams Double cream
2 centiliters Almond syrup
4 tablespoons honey
1 tablespoon roasted slivered almonds

Preparation steps

1.

In a saucepan large enough to hold the pears, bring the white wine, 250 ml (approximately 1 cup) water, the sugar and lemon juice to a boil. Peel and core the pears and add to the saucepan. Cover and remove from the heat and let cool to lukewarm.

For the sauce: In a bowl, stir together the double cream, the syrup and a little bit of the pear soaking  liquid until saucy.

Spoon a tablespoon of honey onto each of 4 plates, Set the warm pears on top and drizzle with the sauce.

Serve sprinkled with almonds.
