1 generous pinch Ground clove
150 grams sugar
50 grams brown sugar

Preparation steps

Combine the flour, ground nuts, cinnamon, cloves, sugar and a pinch of salt, make a well in the center, add the egg yolks and sour cream to the well and the chopped butter around the edges. With a large knife, chop the mixture until crumbly, quickly knead until smooth, shape into a ball, cover with plastic wrap and chill in the refrigerator for about 1 hour.

Preheat the oven to 180°C (approximately 350°F). Grease and flour small tartlet pans.

On a lightly floured work surface, roll out the dough until 3-4 mm (approximately 1/8 inch) thick. Cut into 10 cm (approximately 4-inch) discs and use to line the prepared molds. Stir the jam and kirsch until smooth and then use to fill the tarts. Bake for 20-25 minutes, until golden brown.

Remove from the oven, let cool and then top each tartlet with a walnut half. Drizzle with maple syrup to serve.
