- 1 ⅔ cups Dark chocolate (55 % cocoa, chopped)
- ¾ cup butter
- 1 ¼ cups powdered sugar
- 1.333 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons Cocoa
- 1 cup Walnut (roughly chopped)
- 1 teaspoon Baking powder
- 1 pinch salt
- 3 eggs
- ⅜ cup Maple syrup
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract (liquid)
Preparation steps

Heat the oven to 160C (140C fan) 325F, gas 3.

Melt 150 g of the chocolate with the butter in a small pan.

Put the confectioners' sugar, flour, cocoa, nuts, baking powder and salt into a bowl. Beat in the eggs, maple syrup, vanilla extract and melted chocolate/butter. Stir the rest of the chocolate into the mixture.
4.
Turn the mixture into a baking pan lined with baking parchment and bake for 20-30 minutes. Take out, leave to cool slightly then take out of the tin and leave to cool completely.
5.
Cut into squares to serve.
