200 grams red Jam (such as raspberry, currant, cherry, etc.)
2 tablespoons Soy milk
1 pinch ground Saffron (or turmeric)
For the dough
250 grams ground almonds
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 pinch ground cloves
1 teaspoon cocoa powder
1 pinch salt
250 grams cold Margarine
2 tablespoons Soy milk
2 centiliters Cherry brandy
softened Margarine (for greasing)
sifted Pastry flour (for dusting)

Preparation steps

Combine flour, sugar, vanilla sugar, almonds, cinnamon, cloves, cocoa and salt on the work surface. Create a well in the center and add pieces of margarine, soy milk and kirsch. Combine with a pastry cutter and knead into a smooth dough. Wrap with plastic wrap and chill for about 1 hour.

Meanwhile, grease the pan with margarine and dust with flour.

Preheat the oven to 180°C (approximately 350°F).

Divide dough in half. Thinly roll out both portions between two pieces of parchment paper. Press half of the dough into the pan. trim off excess and add to remaining dough. Use cookie cutters to cut stars and other shapes, as desired, from remaining dough.

Spread marmalade onto crust. Top jam with stars (or other shapes). Combine soy milk and saffron and brush onto pastry. Bake for about 40 minutes. Remove, let cool and serve.
