Healthy, because

Even smarter

The dark chocolate scores with cocoa. The higher the cocoa content, the better for our health, because it contains secondary plant substances that stabilise our blood pressure and protect our blood vessels from dangerous deposits.

With the vegan chocolate cake you can replace the rice drink with other milk alternatives. Oat, soy or almond drinks are just as suitable for the delicious chocolate cake. If you like it a bit more fruity, you can add drained morello cherries to the dough and bake a vegan chocolate cherry cake.

225 grams Dark chocolate (vegan)
200 grams sugar
100 grams fine, brown sugar
1 tablespoon Vanilla sugar
200 grams Pastry flour

Preparation steps

Preheat the oven to 180°C (approximately 350°F). Line a cake pan with parchment paper.

Finely chop 100 grams (approximately 3.5 ounces) of chocolate. Mix the sugar, brown sugar, vanilla sugar, flour, cornstarch, cocoa powder and baking powder. Mix the oil and rice milk. Mix the rice milk mixture into the dry ingredients. Fold in the chopped chocolate. Pour the batter into the pan and smooth. Bake for about 45 minutes, until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. If necessary, cover the cake for the last 20 minutes with aluminum foil. Remove from the oven and let cool.

Chop the remaining chocolate. Melt the chocolate with the coconut oil over a hot water bath. Pour over the cake and spread evenly. Let dry, cut into pieces and serve.
