1 Tablespoon, 1 Large knife, 1 Cutting board, 2 Pots (with lid), 1 large Non-stick pan, 1 Wooden spoon, 1 Slotted spatula, 1 Fork

Preparation steps

Peel the garlic and crush slightly with the knife blade.

Combine the crushed tomatoes, garlic and olive oil in a pot. Season with salt, pepper and a pinch of sugar, cover and cook over high heat, 10 minutes.

Cook rice in boiling salted water according to package instructions.

Meanwhile, rinse basil, shake dry, pluck leaves and chop finely.

Remove sausage casings and mix meat with half of the basil. With moistened hands, form mixture into 10 small balls.

Heat canola oil in a large non-stick pan over high heat and cook the meatballs until golden all around, about 3 minutes. Add tomato sauce and simmer, stirring constantly, until heated through, about 3 minutes.
