freshly chopped Fresh herbs (such as parsley and oregano)
600 grams
Ground veal (substitute other ground meat, if desired)

Preparation steps

1.

Soak roll in lukewarm water, then squeeze to remove liquid. Peel and finely chop onion. Sauté onion in 1 tablespoon oil until translucent. Mix in herbs. Remove pan from the heat and let cool slightly.

In a bowl, combine ground veal, egg, mustard, roll and onion and herb mixture. Season with salt and pepper and mix well. Shape mixture into meatballs.

3.

Fry meatballs in remaining oil until golden-brown, 4-5 minutes. Reduce heat and continue cooking until meatballs are cooked through, 4-5 minutes more. Serve with potatoes, if desired.
