Unfortunately, whole wheat cannelloni are very difficult to obtain. If you don't want to do without the advantages of whole wheat products (more fibre and minerals), you can change this recipe into a pasta casserole and prepare it with whole wheat penne. 11 ounces Ground Veal
2 ounces Quark
2 eggs
2 tablespoons breadcrumbs
1 ounce grated Parmesan
4 sprigs marjoram

1 teaspoon vegetable oil (for the baking dish)
1 ½ pints Tomato sauce
4 ounces Mozzarella

1 Casserole dish, 1 Bowl, 1 Measuring cups, 1 Cutting board, 1 Large knife, 1 Small knife, 1 Tablespoon, 1 Piping bag

Preparation steps

Peel the shallots and garlic and finely chop.

Mix together shallots, garlic, sausage meat, ground meat, cheese, eggs, breadcrumbs and Parmesan thoroughly in a bowl.

Rinse marjoram, shake dry, pluck leaves and finely chop. Mix marjoram into the meat mixture and season with pepper and a little salt (the sausage meat is already salted).

Put the meat mixture into a piping bag and cut off the tip of the bag. Twist the top opening of the piping bag firmly.

Pipe filling into the cannelloni and arrange in an oiled baking dish (about 18 x 8 inches).

Spread tomato sauce on top.

Bake in lower third of preheated oven at 360°F until bubbling, about 20 minutes.

Meanwhile, drain mozzarella and cut into small pieces. Sprinkle  over the cannelloni and bake until melted and golden, 10-15 minutes more. Let stand 4-5 minutes before serving.
