For the cupcakes
50 grams Dark chocolate
120 grams soft butter
120 grams sugar
2 eggs
200 grams Pastry flour
1 teaspoon Baking powder
2 tablespoons cocoa powder
50 milliliters milk
For the frosting
80 grams soft butter
40 grams sugar
pink Food coloring
80 grams cream cheese
150 grams powdered sugar
For decorating
250 grams powdered sugar
2 tablespoons lemon juice

Preparation steps

Preheat oven to 180°C (approximately 350°F). Line a miniature cupcake pan with paper liners.

For the cupcakes, chop chocolate. Mix butter and sugar, add eggs and beat until frothy, about 2 minutes. Stir chocolate into egg mixture. Mix flour, baking powder and cocoa powder and add to batter alternately with the milk. If necessary, add more milk. Pour batter into prepared cupcake pan and bake until cupcakes test done with a toothipick, 20-30 minutes.

Remove cupcakes from pan and let cool on wire rack.

For the frosting, mix butter, sugar, pink food coloring and cream cheese. Stir in as much powdered sugar to butter mixture as needed to reach a spreadable consistency. Place frosting in a pastry bag with a star tip and pipe frosting onto cupcakes

For decorating, mix powdered sugar with enough lemon juice to reach desired consistency, transfer to a pastry bag and pipe onto cupcakes.

Place chocolate heart candies in frosting on cupcakes and serve.
