Toad-in-the-Hole Sausage Casserole
Preheat the oven to 200°C / 400°F upper and lower heat.
In a mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder and salt. Add eggs and milk and mix well. Let the dough rest 20 minutes.
Put lard in a roasting pan (approximately 15 x 30 cm or 6 x 12 inches) oven, and place in oven until lard melts. Prick sausages all over. Carefully spread the dough the roasting pan and top with sausage. Bake on the middle rack of the oven until golden-brown, about 20 minutes. The dough should be moist and still soft on the inside, but form a crispy shell.
