Preparation steps

For the dough: Knead all the ingredients together quickly. Form into a ball and wrap in plastic. Chill for 30 minutes. 

For the filling: Peel the apples, cut into quarters and remove the core. Cut into thick slices. Heat the butter in a large saucepan. Dissolve the sugar in the butter while stirring. Caramelize the apple slices in the sugar and cook for a few minutes.

Let cook until the sugar is syrupy. Remove the apples and make a layer on the bottom of a circular cake pan, about 20 cm (approximately 8 inches). Pour the caramel syrup over the apples. Roll out the dough, place it on the apples and bake in an oven at 220°C (approximately 425°F) for about 20-25 minutes until golden brown. Immediately turn out of the pan and place on a serving plate.
