Sweet Soft Cheese Balls
Mix together the quark, flour, vanilla sugar, egg, salt and butter to form a smooth dough. On a floured work surface roll into a sausage shape approximately as large in diameter at the strawberries.
Cut the dough into slices approximately 2 cm wide and shape into small patties. Press a strawberry into the middle of each patty and press the edges firmly together.
Dust the dumplings with flour and place in a pot of boiling water. Reduce the temperature and simmer until the dumplings rise to the surface - approximately 10 minutes. In the meantime dry roast the hazelnuts.
To serve, remove the dumplings from the water, roll in the hazelnuts and arrange in a dish. Sprinkle with icing sugar and serve with the cream.
