For the dough

Preparation steps

1.

For the dough: mix flour, yeast, salt and sugar. Add milk, butter and eggs. Knead into a smooth dough and let rest for 40 minutes.

For the topping: mix marzipan with egg. Dice apricots.

Roll out dough into a 30x40 cm (approximately 12x16 inches) shape on a floured surface. Brush with marzipan-egg mixture. Spread apricots and half the almonds on it. Roll dough and slice into pieces 3 cm (approximately 1 1/4-inch) thick.

Place on a lined baking tray. Whisk egg yolk with milk. Brush on  rolls and top with remaining almonds. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (approximately 400°F) for about 25 minutes.
