Sweet Polenta Cakes
Sweet polenta can convince with vitamin A, which ensures improved vision and healthy skin. The easily digestible corn semolina is also gluten-free and therefore suitable for many who cannot tolerate the gluten protein.
A compote of cherries or plums goes particularly well with the sweet polenta slices. Our Sour Cherry Compote is a perfect compliment!
For the polenta, bring the milk to a boil with the vanilla bean, lemon zest, sugar, and butter. Sitr in the cornmeal and let soak for about 5 minutes. Remove the vanilla bean and the lemon peel. Spread the polenta about 1 cm (approximately 1/3 inch) thick on a buttered pan. Cool for at least 1 hour. Cut into about 16 diamonds. Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar.
