Heat the oven to 180°C|160°C fan|350°F| gas 4. Lightly grease four 6 cm ramekin dishes.
Melt the butter and chocolate together in a small bowl over a pan of hot, but not boiling, water.
In another bowl mix together the egg yolks and sugar. Stir in the melted and cooled chocolate.
Whisk the egg whites to soft peaks and fold into the chocolate mixture. Spoon into the prepared dishes and bake in the oven for 5-8 minutes.
