200 grams Pastry flour
100 grams almonds
100 grams powdered sugar
1 Vanilla bean (seeded)
1 package Vanilla sugar
150 grams butter
1 egg yolk
50 milliliters Whipped cream (as needed)
For decorating
Sugar pearls (assorted colors)
Chocolate candy (assorted colors)

Preparation steps

1.

Place all of the cookie ingredients into a food processor and pulse until crumbly. Transfer to a lightly floured work surface and knead to form a smooth dough. If the dough is too crumbly, knead in a bit of heavy cream. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 2 hours.

Roll the dough out onto a lightly floured surface to about 3-4 mm (approximately 1/8 inch) thick. Cut into various fun shapes using assorted cookie cutters.

Decorate the cookies with sugar pearls and M&Ms.

Place the cookies onto a baking pan lined with parchment paper, leaving a bit of space between each one. 

5.

Bake in an oven preheated to 175°C (approximately 350°F) for about 10 minutes, until golden brown. 

6.

Transfer to a wire rack to cool.
