300 grams soft butter
150 grams sugar
2 pinches salt
400 grams Pastry flour
1 teaspoon Baking powder
For topping
400 grams Strawberries
2 tablespoons sugar
100 grams Whipped cream
mint (cut into thin strips)

Preparation steps

Cream together soft butter, sugar and salt until fluffy. Sieve flour into butter mixture, add baking powder and rapidly mix everything into a dough. Form dough into a ball, wrap in foil and let stand in refrigerator for 2 hours. Preheat oven to 190°C (approximately 375°F). Line baking sheet with parchment paper. Roll out dough on a lightly floured surface until 1 1/2 cm thick. Cut out cookies about 8 cm around. Bake cookies on greased baking sheet in preheated oven at 175°C (approximately 350°F) for 15-20 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool down.

Rinse strawberries, cut into slices, place in a large bowl and sprinkle with sugar. Beat cream until stiff, fill in a freezer bag. Arrange shortcakes and strawberries on plates and garnish with cream and mint to serve.
