Preparation steps

1.
Place the chopped strawberries in a bowl and mix in the sugar. Set aside for 20 minutes then pass through a fine sieve.
2.
Mix the strawberry juice with the lemon juice and chopped basil and pour into cocktail glasses filled with crushed ice.
3.

Top up the glasses with vodka and a splash of soda water. Stir to combine. 

Garnish the glasses with the strawberries and basil leaves.
