Stracciatella Cake in a Jar
Preheat the oven to 180°C (approximately 350°F). Grease the ovenproof jars with butter and sprinkle with breadcrumbs.
Beat the eggs, salt, sugar and vanilla sugar until creamy. Mix the flour, nuts and baking powder. Gradually mix the flour mixture into the egg mixture. Melt the butter and gradually stir into the batter. Quickly fold in the chocolate and pour the batter into the jars. Bake for about 30 minutes, until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Remove from the oven and let cool. Serve dusted with powdered sugar and garnished with currants.
