Beat egg whites with salt and lemon juice until stiff. Gradually add powdered sugar. Stir and continue to beat until mixture is glossy and cut resistant. Gently add almonds, cinnamon and cherry brandy. Cover dough and refrigerate for 1 hour. Preheat oven to 170°C (approximately 325°F).
Roll out dough on a sugared surface until about 4 mm (approximately 1/10 inch) thick. Cut out star shapes in different sizes and place on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Dry overnight at room temperature. Bake in preheated oven for about 10 minutes. Remove and cool. Dust with powdered sugar and serve.
