For the cream
250 milliliters milk
250 grams Whipped cream
6 eggs
70 grams sugar
2 tablespoons Rum
½ Vanilla bean (sliced and scraped)
1 teaspoon grated Lemon peel
For the bread
300 grams Egg bread
125 grams butter
3 Apple (700 grams or 1.5 pounds)
3 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons Cinnamon sugar
2 tablespoons lemon juice
40 grams raisins
2 centiliters Rum
For greasing
vegetable oil

Preparation steps

1.

For the cream: Combine all cream ingredients in a bowl, stir well and pour through a sieve.

2.

For the bread: Slice bread into 0.5 cm (approximately 1/6 inch) thick slices. Heat butter in a pan and cook bread until golden yellow.

Peel, quarter and core apples. Thinly slice apples. Heat 3 tablespoons of butter in a pan.

Add apples, cinnamon sugar and lemon juice to pan and cook for 2-3 minutes.

Grease a loaf pan with oil grease. Layer bread, apple slices and rum raisins in the pan. Continue to layer until all ingredients are used. Cover with cream. 

6.

Bake in an oven preheated to 180°C (approximately 350°F) for 60-70 minutes.

7.

Meanwhile, soak raisins in rum. Remove bread from oven and let cool slightly. Remove from pan, slice and serve.
