shelled Macadamia Nuts (roughly chopped)
butter (for the baking tray)

ripe Figs (halved)

1 tablespoon

melted Margarine
5 cups
mixed Lettuce leaves (e. g. lamb's lettuce, clover, sorrel, burnet, herbs, rocket, etc)
4 slices
ham (cut into thin strips)

Preparation steps

1.
Preheat the grill to moderately hot.
2.
Dry roast the nuts and grease a baking tray with butter. Place the figs on the baking tray with cut side down. Sprinkle with sugar and grill until golden.
3.
To make the vinaigrette, mix together the lemon juice, vinegar, Nuttelex and season with salt and ground black pepper.
4.
Mix the lettuce leaves and the ham with the vinaigrette, arrange on plates and top with the caramelised figs. Serve sprinkled with the nuts.
