Smoked Ham with Dried Fruit Sauce
Cut the dried fruit into small pieces and soak in the hot broth. Rinse the smoked ham and pat dry, and season with pepper. Heat oil in a pan and fry the smoked ham in it all around. Add the soaked dried fruit along with the broth, pour in the white wine and add the thyme to the ham. Simmer covered for about 45 minutes. Take out the ham and keep warm. Stir the cream into the dried fruit sauce. Bring to a boil and season with salt and pepper.
Slice the smoked ham and remove the bones. Serve the sliced ham with the sauce. Serve as desired with mashed potatoes.
