1 pkg Puff pastry (sheets)
3 scallions (washed; trimmed and finely chopped)
1 clove garlic cloves (peeled and finely chopped)
2 Tbsps olive oil
12 ozs lean Ground beef
1 tsp ground Cumin
1 tsp ground Coriander
½ tsp ground cinnamon
salt (to taste)
freshly ground Black pepper (to taste)
8 cherry Tomatoes (washed and finely chopped)
2 Tbsps fresh parsley (finely chopped)
¼ cup flour divided (for work surface)
1 egg (beaten)

Preparation steps

Thaw the pastry sheets according package instructions.

Preheat oven to 375º F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Heat oil in a 12-inch skillet over medium-high high. Cook beef, green onions, garlic and spices until the beef is well browned, stirring frequently to crumble the meat. Remove from heat. Drain any excess fat and add the chopped tomatoes and parsley.

Unfold 1 pastry sheet on a lightly floured work surface. Gently roll out the pastry sheet. Cut out 5 (4-inch) circles. Repeat with the remain pastry sheet.

Spoon about 3 tablespoons of beef mixture onto half of each pastry circle. Brush the edges of the pastries with the beaten egg. Fold the pastry over the filling and form a crescent shape. Crimp the edges with a fork to seal.

Place the filled pastries onto the prepared baking sheet. Cut out small stars with left over pastry scraps, if desired and decorate the pastries. Brush the pastries with egg.
7.
Bake in preheated oven for 20 to 25 minutes or until pastries are golden brown. Serve hot or cold.
