Preparation steps

1.
Beat together the butter, sugar and pinch of salt until fluffy.

Mix together the cocoa and baking powder until well combined. Sift onto the butter and form quickly into a dough. Shape into a ball and refrigerate for 2 hours.

Preheat the oven to 190°C | 375F | gas 5.

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Roll out the dough on a lightly floured work surface into a long roll and slice into eight pieces. Shape each piece into a ball. Place the dough balls a little apart on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for approximately 15 - 20 minutes (insert a toothpick to test for doneness). Remove from the oven and cool completely.
6.
Beat the cream with the vanilla sugar until stiff peaks form. Clean the berries and rinse if necessary.
7.
To serve, cut the cakes crosswise and fill the bottom with the cream and the berries. Cover with the tops and serve with the remaining cream.
