1 package mini Pita bread (8 rounds)
1 ½ cups prepared Pizza Sauce (divided)
½ teaspoon dried oregano
1 ½ cups grated Mozzarella (divided)
2 tablespoons fresh, chopped Basil (plus extra for garnish)
cup pre-sliced, mini Pepperoni (or salami)

Preparation steps

1.
Position oven rack is in the lower third of the oven. Preheat oven to 400ºF / 200ºF. Line baking sheets with parchment paper.

Arrange pita rounds on 2 large baking sheets. Spread 3 tablespoons pizza sauce on each round and spread it evenly with the back of the spoon. Sprinkle with oregano and top each with 3 tablespoons of the grated cheese. Sprinkle with chopped basil.
3.
Bake until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown, about 6 to 8 minutes. Carefully remove sheets from the oven. Garnish with basil leaves and serve immediately.
