1 kilogram predominantly waxy potatoes
1 onion
salt
freshly ground peppers
freshly ground Nutmeg
3 Tbsps clarified butter (for cooking)

Preparation steps

Scrub potato and cook in salted water for about 20 minutes. Drain and cool, peel and grate coarsely into a bowl. Peel onion, chop finely and mix with potatoes. Season with salt, pepper and nutmeg.

Heat 2 tablespoons of butter in a  pan and spread with potato mixture, flatten with a spatula. Cook for about 15 minutes on low heat or until golden brown.

Using a plate, flip over and cook for about 10-15 minutes on the other side or until golden brown.

Place onto a plate and cut into pieces. Serve.
