3 handfuls edible red Rose petal (petals)
½ liter alcohol (Doppelkorn)
500 grams sugar

Preparation steps

1.

Place the rose petals in a sterilized bottle and fill with alcohol. Replace the bottle cap and store in a cool, dark place for about 2 weeks.

2.

Meanwhile, bring 500 ml (approximately 2 cups) water and the sugar to a boil, cook until syrupy then let cool. 

3.

Strain the rose petals through cheesecloth and mix with the syrup. Distribute between smaller bottles or carafes. 

4.

Let stand for approximately 2 weeks before serving.
