1 handful
mixed Fresh herbs (such as parsley and dill)

Lemon zest (organic)

Preparation steps

Preheat the oven to 160°C (approximately 325°F).

Rinse the sardines, pat dry and lay out, skin-side down, on a clean work surface. Peel the garlic and chop finely. Rinse the herbs, pat dry, pluck the leaves and chop coarsely. Mix the garlic with 2-3 tablespoons oil, the herbs and lemon zest and season with salt and red pepper flakes. Spread over the sardines, roll up and secure with toothpicks. Place in an oiled baking pan and bake (or grill) for about 10 minutes.

Before serving, drizzle with lemon juice and olive oil and season with salt and red pepper flakes.

Serve with salad, if desired.
