2 centiliters red Vermouth
4 centiliters Whiskey
2 splashes Angostura bitters
also
2 Ice cubes
1 Maraschino cherry
1 Cocktail skewer

Preparation steps

1.

Place ice cubes in a mixing glass with vermouth, whiskey and Angostura bitters, stir briefly and pour through a strainer into a cocktail glass. Put the cherry on a cocktail skewer and garnish the glass with the cherry before serving.

2.

If desired, before filling the cocktail glass, decorate by dipping glass edge briefly in water and then in sugar.
