Nutritional values

Butter not only gives Greek rice an incomparably delicious aroma, but is also convincing from a nutritional point of view: butter supplies all fat-soluble vitamins, including vitamin A, which ensures good vision and makes the skin glow.

We recommend choosing the darker whole grain variety instead of white long grain rice to make the Greek rice. This is because it contains more minerals and satiating fibre.

Long-grain rice (no parboiled rice)
500 milliliters
Vegetable broth (instant)

Preparation steps

1.

Heat the butter. Cook the rice until soft. Pour in the broth and season with salt and pepper. Once the rice boils, turn off the heat and when the broth no longer boils, place the lid on the pan.

2.

Let the rice swell for 15-20 minutes. Remove the pan from the heat and place a double layer of paper towels between the pot and lid so that the moisture is absorbed. Let the rice stand for 10 minutes. Loosen with a fork before serving.
