Heat the sugar and water in a pan and bring to a boil, stirring. Remove from the heat and set aside to cool.

Stir the syrup into the remaining ingredients, except for the ice and leave to stand for 2 hours.
3.
Pour into a wide neck jar, seal tightly and chill until ready to serve. Top up with ice.
