Preparation steps

1.

Preheat oven to 180°C (approximately 350°F). Line wells of a muffin tin with paper liners.

For the cupcakes, beat butter with sugar and syrup until creamy. Add eggs. Mix flour with cocoa and baking powder. Add to batter slowly, alternating with milk.

Pour batter into prepared wells and bake for 25 minutes.

For the frosting, mix butter until creamy with sugar. Add cream cheese. Slowly add powdered sugar until frosting reaches a smooth consistency. Place in a pastry bag with a smooth nozzle and pipe onto cooled cupcakes. Sprinkle with chocolate and serve.
