The raspberries complement the brownies perfectly with their fine taste and can also help the liver in its detoxification work. The berries with their contained tannins and acids do that. Natural colourings also protect the body cells from damage.
No raspberries available? Try cherries or blueberries for the brownies. Also good: coarsely chopped walnuts provide more crunch.
No Vanila Sugar available? Use 1 tablespoon sugar and 1 tablespoon vanilla extract instead.
Preheat the oven to 350°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Coarsely chop the chocolate with a knife.
Melt the butter and chocolate over a hot water bath and allow to cool slightly.
Beat the eggs with the sugar and vanilla sugar until white and creamy. Stir in the chocolate mixture.
Mix the flour, cocoa and baking powder and stir into the chocolate mixture. Evenly spread about half the batter on the baking sheet (or in a baking pan). Sprinkle the raspberries over the batter. Cover with the remaining batter.
Bake for about 30 minutes. Remove and let cool.
Cut into pieces and serve dusted with powdered sugar.
