250 grams Quark
250 grams softened butter
250 grams Pastry flour
1 ½ tsps Baking powder
2 packets Vanilla sugar

125 grams raisins
100 grams chopped almonds
4 Tbsps sugar
½ tsp cinnamon
150 grams powdered sugar
2 Tbsps lemon juice
powdered sugar (for dusting)

Preparation steps

1.

Mix 200g (approximately 7 ounces) butter, flour, baking powder, vanilla sugar and 1 pinch of salt to the quark and knead to a smooth dough. Wrap in foil and chill in refrigerator for 1 hour.

Roll out dough on a floured surface into a rectangle (about 40x60 cm, or approximately 15x24 inches). Melt butter and brush dough. Spread raisins and almonds on top. Mix cinnamon with sugar and sprinkle on dough.

Roll dough on the narrow side and slice. Place slices on a lined baking tray and bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (approximately 400°F) until golden brown.

Mix powdered sugar with lemon juice and brush on rolls while warm. Serve with additional powdered sugar if desired.
