Ingredients

For the quince
22 ounces Quince
2 tablespoons sugar
3 ounces dry white wine
For the streusel
9 ounces Pastry flour
7 ounces ground Hazelnuts
1 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
6 ounces sugar
10 ounces softened butter
1 pinch salt
softened butter (for baking dish)
powdered sugar (for dusting)

Preparation steps

1.

Rinse and dry quince, then peel and cut into eighths. Remove core and chop flesh. Cook quince with sugar and wine in a small saucepan until tender, about 10 minutes. Drain and cool.

For the streusel, mix flour with nuts, cinnamon, sugar, butter and salt in a mixing bowl until crumbly.

Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a baking dish with butter.

Place half of crumb mixture on bottom of pan and press down evenly. Top with quince and cover with remaining crumb mixture. Bake about 45 minutes or until golden brown.

5.

Remove from oven, cool and serve dusted with powdered sugar.
