Preparation steps

For the dough: Mix flour with salt in a bowl, make a well in the center, crumble in yeast and mix with 4 tablespoons milk. Add some flour from edge, cover and let rise in a warm, draft-free place for 15 minutes. Mix in butter, sugar, remaining milk and egg and knead into smooth dough. Cover and let rise for another 45 minutes.

Preheat oven to 180°C (approximately 350°F.)

For the streusel: Mix flour with almonds, sugar and butter. Rub mixture between palms to crumble.

Roll out dough on floured work surface to size of baking sheet and spread across baking sheet lined with baking paper. Spread dough with quince jam and top with streusel. Bake in preheated oven for 40-45 minutes. Remove, let cool and cut into pieces to serve.
