Nutritional values

Nice and sweet - kids love that! And still poor in sugar - that pleases mothers and fathers. In addition to their natural fruit sweetness, strawberries provide plenty of folic acid, which is important for the cells, and vitamin C. The low-fat curd cheese provides muscle-strengthening protein, the wholemeal products provide satiating fibre and the rapeseed oil provides healthy fat. Thus, the curd cheese dumplings, as the dish is also called, are a good mix of nutrients.

The curd dumplings or also called curd cheese dumplings originating from Austria differ from the German curd balls in that they are cooked instead of fried, this saves fat and makes them lighter. For a change, the dumplings can also be prepared with apricot or plum compote. Simply boil the diced fruit with 150 ml apple juice and 100 ml water until soft. A vanilla sauce also goes well with the dessert. You can find a basic recipe for this here.
